History

2017

We promote the improvement of the client’s digital journey and the optimization of internal processes. Through investments in digitalization, Oi launched innovative products that improve the life of the client, such as:

• Oi Livre Digital and Oi Mais Controle Digital: in this plan, Oi’s clients can customize their package by simply moving a bar on the screen of the mobile to change the franchise from voice to data and vice versa at any time. There is no similar service in the Brazilian telecom market.

• Técnico Virtual: tool accessed via web or application that carries out automatic measures on the network to solve any errors and guides the client to verify the facilities in their home.

• Atendimento Digital: solution for the B2B segment that makes it possible to set the router via web or application in an automated manner, reducing the time to set the equipment from about 2 hours to 5 minutes.

In partnership with companies and research centers, Oi launched Oito, an entrepreneurship and innovation hub that works in partnership with other large companies in Rio de Janeiro. The purpose is to have a space that is a reference in generating new business, developing technological and digital solutions, accelerating startups and supporting social business.

In the Corporate segment, we focused on alternative services, focusing on the sales on services with a higher margin, such as advanced data, Internet of Things (IoT), IT (Datacenter, Oi Smart Cloud, Colocation, Hosting), Big Data & Analytics and Cybersecurity solutions, in line with the digital transformation trend of companies. Among the main releases of the year are Oi Smart Cloud 4.0, which, in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Ormuco, makes it possible to have managed deployments of smart clouds and an effective management of the applications and data within and outside the client’s data center in a safe and fast manner; and Oi WiFi Business, a relationship platform that makes it possible to have interaction between the physical and digital environments to offer a better experience to the clients of the companies.

Oi Futuro, an Oi-supported institute that promotes, supports and develops innovative and collaborative actions to improve the lives of people and society, has launched Labora and LabSonica. Labora is a Social Innovation Lab that offers incubation and acceleration programs for social projects and businesses in different phases of maturity and with different entrepreneurial profile, through partnerships with institutions such as Yunus Negócios Sociais and Instituto Ekoos. LabSonica is a meeting point for creators from different areas that offers the necessary infrastructure for bands, musicians, producers, sound art researchers, independent record labels, developers and other talents, making it possible for them to bring their sound projects to real life and enabling independent productions
